Artist Statement

My work is a reflection of the profound dialogue between the natural world and the creative spirit. I draw inspiration from the quiet rhythms, raw textures, and organic patterns found in nature—moments of stillness, transition, and resilience. Whether it’s the weathered surface of a stone, the subtle shifts of a changing sky, or the quiet geometry of plant life, I find endless material in the earth’s language.

I primarily work in cold wax and oils, drawn to the depth, texture, and luminosity they offer. These mediums allow me to layer, obscure, reveal, and explore the interplay between control and spontaneity. I also enjoy exploring other mediums, allowing each piece to dictate the materials it needs. My process is intuitive and meditative—built on trust in the materials and in the moment.

Ultimately, my goal is to evoke a sense of connection—to place, to memory, and to the elemental forces that shape our inner and outer landscapes.
